Scents For Funeral Homes ?

Posted by C Cabrera on 9th Sep 2016

Most people have experienced the loss of a friend or loved one, and had to go down to the funeral home for viewing and making arrangements. Emotions are running very high and every little notion of comfort helps you get through it.

A religious statue, beautiful quote, soothing music, hugs or even a little humor can go along way. A pleasant scent is also very important and comforting.

Personally I have experienced funeral homes and mausoleums that have a very stale or musty odor. This only makes the experience worse than it is.  Many funeral home directors are taking notice of this and are starting to implement a scenting program

For middle of the road; a eucalyptus type scent makes good sense, since it helps one breathe easier and has a fresh aroma.

Or...

Maybe the person that passed was very gregarious and loved tropical places...well then a happy coconut lemongrass or mango like aroma would not be out of place. Everyone shows up with a straw hat and the music is upbeat.

Or...

Maybe that person loved the smell of coffee or gardenias?

A funeral home could actually offer choices  such as ...flowers, tropical. fresh. warm, sport, coffee etc. This would be easy to do with the products offered at htttp://www.greenairshop.com

In summary, you can either mourn a death or celebrate a life.

What scent would I want at my funeral?...Calming lavender... ( Coffee might wake me up)
