When You're Selling; They're Smelling

Posted by Green Air Team on 22nd Jan 2016

I don't rhyme all of  the time, but the title of this article is right on the money (that you hope to make) for selling a house, car, boat or even a piece of clothing. Seller BEWARE: Even if your item looks new or is in great condition, if it smells bad or funny...It Won't Sell...

Let's imagine a designer purse that retails for 1,500.00  ( not unusual for designer stuff)

You find it at an estate sale for only $50. But, it smells like a wet dog....that would plummet the value in your mind and of course something that atrocious would not be appealing in the slightest. You would probably settle for a generic brand instead. Or possibly buy it, keep it in a sealed container an tell your friends "I have a (Insert Brand) purse at home"

What if you were presented an amazing  gourmet meal  prepared by a famous chef?

Well, if the meal had a rotten smell, you would not want to eat it.No matter how beautiful the presentation , the foul odor would be a complete turn off your appetite.

A property manager once told me that it was easier to rent out a good smelling and slightly messy looking apartment ( one that was being turned but still smelled good) as opposed to an immaculate looking, but foul smelling apartment unit.

The person walking in is immediately hit with an emotional reaction by the smell.

Yes, anything that you are buying, renting or selling is related to smell. Always be aware of the scents and the process will be much easier.

Remember, if you are selling, they are smelling.... Don't miss out on the smell of money $$$
